Lonny Meloon

Attorney Meloon has worked as a trial attorney in private practice and as an Institutional Review Specialist for the United States Department of Education.

Attorney Meloon is a zealous trial attorney who focuses his practice in criminal defense, civil litigation and domestic relations matters. Attorney Meloon has extensive experience in dealing with a variety of criminal matters ranging from drug offenses, Clerk Magistrate hearings, assault and battery cases, OUI/DUI cases, license suspension matters, and weapons related offenses. Attorney Meloon has extensive trial experience.

Attorney Meloon received his Bachelor of Science from Rivier University in 1998 and his Juris Doctorate from Massachusetts School of Law in 2008. Attorney Meloon is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Attorney Meloon also volunteered as a screening attorney with the Committee Public Counsel Services – Innocence Project. As a screening attorney, Attorney Meloon conducted initial screenings to determine whether the defendant had been wrongly convicted of crimes. In doing so, Attorney Meloon reviewed evidence associated with a case to determine whether the defendant had a factual basis to support an innocence claim. Attorney Meloon evaluated both DNA and non-DNA based innocence claims, with special attention to cases that involved eyewitness identification, flawed and/or invalidated forensic science, and false and/or coerced confessions.

In his free time, Attorney Meloon enjoys working on muscle cars and spending time with his partner, Catherine, and with their dogs.
